Tyro has teamed with Pure Commerce to introduce Dynamic Currency Conversion (DCC) to our merchants.
DCC gives your international customers the choice of paying in Australian dollars or their home currency.
The conversion rate is fixed at the time of the transaction, so your customers know exactly how much they are paying up front - no surprises on their credit card statement!

There is no cost to you for setting up DCC.
In fact, your business will earn extra revenue from the foreign exchange margins used to convert the amount to the cardholder's home currency.

DCC is planned to be available on all Tyro terminals in November 2008. Existing merchants need to fill out and fax a consent form.

Scheme rules expressly disallow acquirers from entering into agreements with merchants outside the acquirer's country of domicile. Tyro is an Australian acquirer that is authorised to serve Australian merchants.
Tyro's Australian merchants conducting business overseas can use the Tyro terminal to accept payment from a location outside of Australia in the normal conduct of their business. Tyro settles into the merchant's Australian bank account.
